Warehouse Associate
Warehouse Associates are responsible for ensuring that product is moved into and out of the warehouse facility in a timely and accurate manner. They have to perform in the allocated area of warehouse operations, although this role also provides support to other parts of the warehouse as needed.

A Day In The Life As A Warehouse Associate:

• Use appropriate merchandise management tools. (such as Forklift)
• Needs to check, validate and audit items to ensure that ordered merchandise is received and that it is as ordered and not damaged or faulty.
• Make sure the data is entered into the remote data terminal
• Identify, segregate, label, and palletize product onto flats.
• Replenish selected sites as specified by replenishment reports and other goods requirements.
• Fill store item orders by picking and transporting merchandise from the pick slot to the conveyor.
• Load outbound items onto trailers from conveyors and/or four-wheel vehicles.
• Notify the supervisor of any damages and/or vendor compliance problems.
• Collaborates with supervisor to address issues or inconsistencies.
• Meets safety, productivity, and quality standards.
• Performs other related activities and responsibilities as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

• Communication abilities adequate to speak with coworkers, comprehend and issue guidance, reply to management queries, and enter data on reports and records
• Basic knowledge of simple math concepts
• Ability to use a Radio Frequency Unit
• Capability to understand the fundamentals of motorized merchandise movement equipment.
• Ability to maintain annual certification requirements

EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience working in an automated distribution center preferred
• Experience with warehouse management systems applications preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Continuous lifting of merchandise up to 65 pounds regularly, and occasional team lifting of merchandise up to 85lbs
• Continuous walking, including long distances and up and downstairs
• May work at heights up to 30 feet above ground
• Standing, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and pushing and pulling using hands and/or arms on a repetitive basis above and below the shoulder level
• May work continuously up to 12 hours
• Exposure to extreme heat and cold conditions as well as dust and noise
